I didn't actually look at the names of the functions; I just saw three functions. I tend to think of functors as not having much state, but I guess there are exceptions. And you're certainly right that a function called setup() belongs in a constructor, and a function called done() in a destructor.

The setup.exe just hangs there indefinitely. I did some investigating one time and discovered that it was Outlook that was causing the problem. If Outlook is running when I run setup, the setup.exe will most likely hang for some period of time. If I don't have Outlook running, setup runs fine.
