Setup just disappears

I've been trying to install vista since the release of the ccp release and have been trying to upgrade my current xp system to vista. Yet every time I try the upgrade option I get to 99% of Readying files and the installation disappears. It does not restart my computer like it did on my tablet, nor does it give me any error message to follow up on. I've tried installing it probably 15 times and get the same thing every single time. Having no luck there I have tried on a freshly formatted HDD and get an error message indicating it can't continue. Exact error code I can't remember. I'm not so much worried about that but I would like any suggestions on what's going on with the upgrade and why it keeps dying on me.

Try to search if there is any (may be hidden folder, go Folder options to change them visible) setup*.log that have their date time near when the setup finished running. They should be quite big files, several MegaBytes..
Then get Beta Client installed and submit those logs to MS.
